There are no “typical” work days for the RUF intern but here’s a rough outline of what I do with my time:

I have been blocking off my days until 11:00 a.m. to make time for Bible study and study program reading.Starting at 11:00 I meet with girls one-on-one over coffee, lunch, ice cream, etc. I try to have 3 one-on-one meetings a day.At night things vary.

Monday- Once a month I will be attending a Bible study with women in the church on Mondays at 9:30. Rebekah and I will be meeting a group of girls every Monday at noon to talk about issues women face today. Then I have freshmen girls over to hang out at 7 p.m.. We hang out, eat food, watch movies, etc.

Tuesday- At 6:30 some of Clemson’s awesome upper classsmen girls host a Freshman Dinner. I go to that then head over to Clemson Pres where Large Group is held at 8.

Wednesday- Stephen and I meet for a Staff meeting in the morning. Then we have Girl’s Lunch at noon. (This is a time where girls can ask Stephen any questions about the material we have been going through in RUF or any other questions they have.) Then at night I have been going to the Apologetics Bible study that Stephen leads at his house.

Thursday- This night is open for whatever needs to happen- hanging out with students, hanging out with my friends, resting, etc.

Friday- This, too, varies. This past Friday the students and I played “Hostage,” a game in which teams of 5 form- a driver, a navigator, and 3 “hostages.” The driver/navigator combo drops off an opposing team’s hostages- who are blindfolded for the drive- anywhere they want within a 15 minute range of Clemson, the more obscure and secluded the better. Once the hostages are dropped off they call their team’s driver and navigator and try their best to give them directions to where they are. The hostages try to find landmarks that tell them where they have been dropped off and then communicate it to their . The first team to get their hostages back to the starting location wins!

Saturday- This is my day off. While all the students get psyched for the game I try my best to stay away from the crowds. I have gone to Greenville the past two weekends to hang out with some friends from college who live there.

Sunday- I go to church then I go to a Bible study that night.
