Interns are individuals who have recently graduated from college who feel led to go back to the college campus, this time not as students but as graduates who love students and have a heart to see them know and follow after Christ. Interns spend their days ministering to students in a variety of ways–anything from going on camping trips, playing frisbee, and hosting game nights to leading Bible studies, heading up service projects, and meeting one-on-one with students to delve into more intimate and weighty life issues. The activities in which interns participate are as dynamic as the schools they are at and the students they are with.
Typically, interns commit to two years of service on the college campus to which they have been assigned. This window of time gives interns the unique opportunity to pursue relationships with college students intentinally and full time.
Interns also engage in a study program that consists of reading 2-3 books on theology and ministry every month as well as reading through the Bible over the course of two years. These readings are designed to supplement the hands-on ministry that interns experience, giving interns tools with which to better serve students and a broader understanding of ministry itself.
